John A. Ciccone, D.P.M.

I am a self employed podiatrist and began private practice in 1977 in my home town of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and relocated to San Diego in January of 1979. My first practice was in Pacific Beach. I also have practiced in El Cajon ( March of 1991) and actively practice now in the Pacific Beach location. My practice is general with  an emphasis on orthopedic, biomechanical and surgical problems. I also have an interest in diabetic wound care and sports medicine problems, especially bicyclists and triathletes. I attempt to provide a non surgical solution if at all possible and welcome any general podiatric foot or ankle problem. I am trained in minimal incision surgery (less traumatic) and laser treament of fungal nail infections.

Extra Curricular Activities

Dr. Ciccone, age 64, is married to Debra, a government attorney for 24 years. He has one son Anthony, age 25, (University of Pittsburgh Law School)) and family interests are baseball, golf and travel. Personal interests are bicycle racing, softball, and Senior Olympic Sports. Dr. Ciccone holds a 2008 Senior Olympic Gold Medal in Javelin and Freestyle swimming, a Silver Medal in bicycle time trials, and was part of the Silver Medal Softball team. He also participates in Adult Baseball in San Diego County.
